DOMARPRESENTATION RM 2018

Mike Tallamy England
My interest in shooting and the countryside started when I was a boy living on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent. Gundogs came many years later when the family moved to Suffolk. My first puppy was called Maggie of Brindle and I bought her in 1987 a black lab bitch. I learnt how to train and compete with her gaining many test awards and I ran her in one novice field trial which she gained 4th place. I was then absolutely hooked The Affix Brindlebay was granted in 1990 named after the house which we lived in (the house built with Brindle bricks and the area of North bay – Brindlebay was formed). Since that time, I have made up to seven FTCH and the breeder of five FTCH.

My greatest achievement was winning the IGL Retriever Championship with Bringwood Bobby of Brindlebay in 2002 at Ganton in North Yorkshire. In total, I have Qualified for the IGL Championship 13 times with seven different dogs.
I was elected to the A panel in year 2000 and have judged in eight countries. In 2015 I had the honour to be a judge at the IGL Retriever Championship at the Queensbury Estate Dumfries Scotland.Other Championship judging appointments include The Irish Retriever Championship, the Italian Retriever Championship, the Belgium Retriever Championship, the Coup d’Europe and the Danish Retriever Championship.

I am delighted to accept the invitation to judge the Swedish Retriever Championship which I consider to be a great honour.

Sara Gadd England
My career started in Gundogs 25 years ago but my children were very young so I was limited to how much time I spent with the dogs. I have been lucky to have had some very talented dogs. To name a few Elmbrook Kitty, FTCh Mansengreen Diesel of Birdsgreen, FTCh Brindlebay Gertie of Birdsgreen. This coming season I am hoping to compete with Brindlebay Towie of Birdsgreen. I have also had the pleasure of breeding two champions one Goldie and one lab.I enjoy judging field trials and as an A panel judge I have been fortunate to judge in seven different countries so Sweden will now make that eight!
In the Autumn and Winter I spend 3-4 days a week in the shooting field enabling my dogs to gain plenty of experience picking game.
I am honoured to be invited to judge the Swedish Retriever Championship and look forward to watching the best dogs compete. I know how much hard work goes into producing a dog to such a high standard and wish everyone the best luck.

Jenny Hamring, Sverige

A-provsdomare, innehar CACIT

I bought my first labrador in 1979. It was a yellow bitch that I called Vicky. The reason I bought her was I needed a retriever for small game shooting. I shot pheasents, partridge, geese, ducks, rabbits, hares pigeons, you name it! I did not know that I could run her on tests. I went training with a friend and she took me to a cold game test. Anyway it ended with my bitch being a cold game champion. The reason for keeping and training dogs is first and foremost that I love go shooting with a well trained dog. When I train my labradors I do it for one reason. I want it to be a perfect partner on the shooting ground. I run some of my dogs on trials. I won Swedish championship twice and I have been running International trials winning a few.  Me and my wife Mirjam is breeding Labrador, Wachtel and Borderterrier. We have about 15 dogs of different breeds for shooting and hunting small and big game. My favourite hunt is to shoot wildboor with my dogs. But also small game with a spaniel.
I feel honored that I have been invited to judge the Swedish Retriever Championship. May the best gamefinder win.
